Breakr is an information initiative built on the concept that the 24/7 news cycle and all legacy media modalities are broken and likely beyond repair. Journalism as it has traditionally been understood is not capable of repairing the gap that has been laid bare by rapid advancements in technology, science and psychology.

We believe that inquiry not conclusion, genuine analysis instead of opinion, the acknowledgement of cognitive bias and the significant limitations of story-telling, and especially the concerted use of technology and multi-disciplinary inquiry must become integrated into the development and transmission of information.

We believe earth-shifting, paradigm-breaking, life-changing truths are all around us but remain unseen and untold not because of a lack of resources but because of long out-moded ways of thinking, seeing and telling.
